My heart goes out to you all as we say goodbye for now to Paul.

Paul’s death has left me stunned. 😢
I found out last Friday night.
I just sat there broken and lost for words staring at my phone, trying to process.

Please, God. 🙏
Extra love, grace and peace for Penny, their children, their famiy and their friends in the times ahead.

Paul is the longest Christian friend that I have.
He loves me.
I treasure this.

The very short story on how Paul became my teacher, mentor, brother and friend…

In early 1992 God had helped me begin the healing and the walk out of an evil of life deeply torn by drugs, perversions, crime and a brokenness that still pulls and haunts at times.

As a new Christian, because of the forgiveness, hope and life I found in Jesus, I wanted to share with others, what Jesus had done for me.
God leads : )
I met with Paul at Youth with a Mission at the then, Surrey Hills base. I applied to do the May 1993, 6 month Discipleship Training School.
Those 6 months changed, healed and helped me on so many levels. Paul as well as so many others in YWAM laid down their lives for us as our DTS grew in Christ.
Because I was still so wild, broken and feral, Paul took me under his wing.
I remember his father heart, his patience, love, rebuke, grace, counseling, sadness for me, his listening ear and all the time he had for me as he walked with me through the brokenness I made of my life and the life of those I love.

He would make time to see me when he came back to Australia.
We would talk, laugh, encourage, go deep, share our joys and the disappointments of life and in parenting.
I am going to miss you mate. 🙁
