Paul played a pivotal role in my life when I met him 20 years ago, a formative time for me. He became a guiding presence for me in those short few months. Paul exemplified the heart of a father, and through his fatherly wisdom, care and example, I experienced breakthrough in my personal relationships. I will always be deeply grateful for him and very inspired by him.
The memories that always light me up are seeing Paul interact with his kids and him, teaching me how to ride a motorbike. My fondest memory was riding down a dirt road with him. True to Paul’s bravery, we jumped on our bikes and me as a learner. Sure enough, I lost control, sending the bike straight into the shrubs and nearly into the river! Through all the chaos, as we pulled the bike out of the shrubs, he laughed and I can’t helped but did the same. Paul’s spirit and his laughter brought so much pure, contagious joy.
More recently, my family including my parents had the privilege of spending time with Paul again. His lovingkindness never ceased to shine through his subtle actions, gentle gestures, generosity, quiet care and prayers. Paul brought a large presence, a giant of the faith and we feel so blessed to have crossed his path. Until we meet again ox
